About the Producer: Etfor
Etfor produce garments from TENCEL Lyocell and organic cotton. They are GOTS certified and based in Portugal. Being a GOTS certified clothing factory means they provide high quality organic garments.
How does Etfor make a difference?
Etfor is certified according to the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), by IMO-CH, with License no. 120540. GOTS is recognised as the world's leading processing standard for textiles made from organic fibres. It defines high-level environmental criteria along the entire organic textiles supply chain and requires compliance with social criteria as well.
Etfor carries the FAIRTRADE Mark which means the producers and traders they work with have met Fairtrade Standards. These Standards are designed to address the imbalance of power in trading relationships, unstable markets and the injustices of conventional trade. This label offers consumers a positive way to buy products in solidarity with those who produced them, and so reducing poverty through their everyday shopping. The company is allowed, by FLO-CERT, to trade products with the Fairtrade label (FLO-ID 28385).
Etfor is Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 certified which is an international certification and testing system for raw, intermediate and final textile products throughout the entire production process. Testing for harmful substances covers substances prohibited and regulated by law, chemical products which are known to be harmful to health and parameters to safeguard health.
Etfor is particularly concerned with the environment and has hired the services of Esposende Ambiente to undertake waste collection. Esposende Ambiente is a public company which employs 113 workers. Its function is to collect wastewater and to perform the upkeep of green urban spaces as well as public cleaning and hygiene within the region.
